AWC Summer Camp 2022: Fourth Through Sixth Grade

If your child is curious about nature or likes spending time outdoors, AWC’s summer camp is the perfect way for them to enjoy summer vacation while learning about wildlife! 

Dates: July 25 – July 29
Age: 4th - 6th graders (7th and 8th graders will be considered counselors in training)
Location: Alabama Wildlife Center
Time: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
What is included: Each participant will receive a camp T-shirt and two snacks/day
Lunch: Participants should bring a sack lunch daily
Day program: AWC summer camp is a day program (no housing available)

8:30 – 9:00 am Drop off students
9:00 – 10:30 am Morning activity
10:30 – 10:45 am Snack and break
10:45 – 11:45 am Morning activity 2
11:45 – 12:30 pm Lunch/free play
12:30 – 2:00 pm Afternoon activity
2:00 – 2:15 Snack and break
2:15 – 3:30 Afternoon activity 2
3:30 – 4:00 Pick up students

Monday: Mammals/Forest Ecology/ Treetop Nature Trail – Raptor Care
Tuesday: Plants/Insects/ Treetop Nature Trail – Raptor Care
Wednesday: Freshwater Ecology/ Treetop Nature Trail – Raptor Care
Thursday: Reptiles/Amphibians/ Treetop Nature Trail – Raptor Care
Friday: Birds/ Treetop Nature Trail – Raptor Care
